Organization Purpose
The purpose of the Coupland Volunteer Fire Department, originally formed in 1979, is to protect life, property, and
to respond to other emergencies that might arise in the community through public education, management, and incident response
while also participating in most local service projects.
Our Mission
The mission of the Fire Department is to preserve life and property efficiently, in compliance with local, state, federal
regulations and fire service standards, and with the effective participation of the community. This will be accomplished
through: fire prevention programs; pre-planning for fire and other emergencies; promoting volunteerism; training emergency
responders; a health and safety program; rapidly extinguishing fires; fire cause investigation; pre-hospital ground and
air ambulance emergency medical services; and performing some rescue services.
